New housing sales increase in the US
July 27, 2010In June, the number of deals with detached houses on US primary market soared by 23.6%, compared to the preceding month.
At the same time, in comparison with June 2009 sales have declined by 16.7%, RTTNews reports, citing data from U.S. Department of Commerce.
Moreover, the growth of buying activity registered during the past month, could not compensate the May decline in new housing sales, which amounted to 32.7% on a monthly basis.
In June, average values of transactions involving primary homes have climbed down by 1.4% compared to May, while decreasing by 0.6% in annualized terms.
