New increase in U.S. commercial property values
July 20, 2010In May, the indicator has increased by 3.6%, compared to the preceding month.
May has become the second consecutive month of growth in local commercial property prices. The April increase worked out 1.7%.
At the same time, in yearly comparisons, prices have declined by 6.3%, while plummeting by 38.9%, in relation to October 2007 peaks, The Washington Post reports, citing data provided by the Moody's rating agency.
Specialists expect to see a significant increase in prices within the coming months. In general, however, the market remains weak: transactions number is low and macroeconomic forecasts are quite pessimistic.
