Housing sales increase in Estonia
July 14, 2010Over the first half of the year, the number of property sales in the country surged by 20%, compared to the same period last year.
The total value of deals has climbed down by 4%, year-on-year, The Baltic Course says, citing data provided by the Land Department.
The number and total volume of transactions concluded in Tallinn soared by 40% and 12.7%, respectively.
It is noted that in 2006-2007, when Estonian property market was experiencing a boom, the number of sales was almost twice higher than at present, and the total volume of transactions exceeded current indicators by nearly four times.
