Rating of countries most popular among Russian overseas property buyers (June 2010)

Prian.ru portal has prepared its regular monthly report on overseas property markets most popular among Russians. No significant changes in comparison to May 2010 were observed in the TOP-10.

23 months in succession, the list is headed by Bulgaria, which has attracted nearly 20% of the total number of requests submitted in June by our visitors to the database of the Prian.ru property portal. Break-off from its pursuers, Germany and Spain, is quite significant: since March 2010 it has been exceeding 10% of the total number of requests. Germany’s breakaway from Spain has increased once again.

Russian buyers’ interest in Czech and Finnish markets continues to decline. Interest expressed towards Czech republic, was continuously increasing for 11 months in a row, however, the indicator has started decreasing in May, which is mainly due to seasonal trends. The share of Russian buyers interest in Finnish property market is continuously decreasing for 8 months. 

Trend noted by specialists of the Prian.ru portal in May, still prevails on the market: Russian buyers’ interest in “warm” European countries remains quite high. Spain, Italy and France have remained on their positions in the TOP-10, while Greece, Croatia and Portugal have climbed up. Turkey, while being not a completely European country, has gained the most significant percentage – 0.66%.

Also, beyond the TOP-10, Canada, Sweden, Australia and the UK, have made a considerable leap up in June. Egypt, Thailand and Cyprus have lost their positions.
