Gradual recovery on Bulgarian construction market
May 11, 2010In March, Bulgarian construction volume has soared by 20.9%, compared to February. In annual terms, this figure has declined by 20%.
Property Wise Bulgaria reports on this matter, with reference to Bulgarian National Statistics Institute. The volume of infrastructure construction has skyrocketed by 23.7% compared with February, while residential and office construction grew by 19.1%.
Upon the results of Q1 2010, the volume of Bulgarian construction has declined by 25.9%, compared to the same period of 2009. The sharpest decline (24.5%) has been registered in residential and commercial segments of Bulgarian property market.
We would like to remind you that in Q4 2009, the number of housing units constructed in Bulgaria has increased by 40.4%, compared to the preceding quarter, while declining by 1.7% in annual terms.
