Two-years of falling housing prices in Attica
January 27, 2010Upon the results of 2009, the decline in prices for new residential property in south-eastern region of Greece, has amounted to 6%.
The sharpest decline has been registered in the city of Piraeus – 6.8%, in comparison to 2008, the magazine writes with reference to information provided by the Aspis Real Estate company. The lowest rate of decline has been observed in the northern districts of Athens – 3.7%.
According to the company's managing director, Daniel Psomiadis, a sudden drop in housing prices has not happened during the last year only. Housing prices in the region have been continuously declining since mid-2007.
We would like to remind you that the nationwide decrease of new residential property prices has amounted to 2.4%, over January-September 2009. The Q4 statistics have not yet been presented.
