Croatian housing prices stand pat

The December decline has only amounted to 0.1%, in comparison to the preceding month.

If compared with December 2008, the Croatia residential property has depreciated by 4.8%. We would like to notice, that barely a month earlier the annual rate of decline was considerably higher.

According to the CentarNekretnina.net, a web-portal dedicated to local property, over November-December, prices for apartments in Zagreb have climbed up by 0.6%, to €1893 per a sq. m, however, decreasing by 5.7% in yearly calculations. In case of home prices, the reduction has been observed in both cases (-1.3% and -2% respectively), while the average cost per a sq. m. has amounted to €1291.

In monthly terms, apartments on the Adriatic coast have depreciated by 0.5% (down to €2109 per a sq. m.), while housing prices, on the contrary, have increased by 1.5% (up to €1552 per a sq. m.). In comparison with December 2008, prices have decline by 7.3% and 2.3%, respectively.
