Minsk still falls behind the construction schedule

November 24, 2009

During January-October, the annual directive for the construction of residential properties in the Belarusian capital has been realized by only 57%.

The forecast for Belarusian socio-economic development in 2009 has anticipated the commissioning of 1.4 million sq. meters of housing, including 918 thousand square meters for citizens who require better housing.

Over the first ten months, 798 thousand square meters of residential property have been commissioned, 551.2 thousand square meters of which were designated for citizens in need of better livingconditions, BelaPAN reports with reference to the Main Statistical Office of Minsk.

We would like to remind you that upon the results of the year’s first half, Minsk builders had had only 518.9 thousand square meters of housing constructed, thus having had only 37.1% of the plan fulfilled.
