Property market of Almaty has long ago bottomed out
August 03, 2009This statement has been announced by the akim (mayor) of Almaty, Ahmetjan Esimov. According to the official, barely 24 homes out of 132 currently being built in the city will be left unfinished by 2010. That’s why he urged citizens, who consider buying housing, to make their decisions “right now”.
In 2009, 29 residential complexes, that will solve the problems of 4277 interest-holders, will be completed in Almaty, reports. 1.5 thousand flats build on the basis of equity construction have been constructed in the city during the first half of 2009. 35 more residential complexes, that will house 8,114 interest-holders, are scheduled to be commissioned in 2010-2011.
The deputy prime-minister of Kazakhstan, Umirzak Shukeev, has ordered the developers to continue the construction at the same pace, and has asked the urban services to provide the developers with any help required.
