Dominican property will be counted

February 16, 2009

The National Cadastre Agency (DGCN) is going to conduct the mapping and estimate the value of all properties in the state.

Currently DGCN is negotiating with two (Spanish and Israeli) companies, each offering to arrange a thorough mapping of the entire Dominican real estate divisions. The project is expected to be worth $25 million.

DGCN director Bolivar Marte has highlighted the importance of such a project for the Dominican Republic. The arrangement of a unified cartographic and property valuation system will allow everybody interested in purchasing Dominican real estate to obtain the necessary information about the price and location of the chosen property, Dominican Today reports.
